What is Floating?

In our day to day lives, we are constantly bombarded with stimulation. Whether it’s auditory from noise at our jobs, visual from spending too much time in front of screens, or physical from discomfort or chronic pain, we’re constantly receiving this feedback through our senses. It’s always happening so much that our brains are designed to only focus on an immediate few, but the rest are still being absorbed.

When was the last time you had a break from all this overstimulation? For most people, they’ve never had the opportunity. That’s why float tanks were created. Floating in salt water dense enough to support you, and minimizing as many external sights and sounds as possible, the only thing left is you and your thoughts.

It’s the perfect balance to the overstimulated world we live in.

Why Float?

Health and Wellness To relieve physical stress, recover from injuries, fight addiction, and ease chronic pain. Boosting dopamine and endorphins to elevate mood and overall feeling of wellness & contentment.

Meditation Floating is a powerful tool for meditation, by training the mind to produce theta brainwaves, the state of deep meditation. We think of it as a shortcut to meditation. By removing as many distractions and external stimuli as possible, it makes it much easier to reach the state of mind found with a consistent meditation practice.

Self Improvement Without distractions while floating, concentration and knowledge are acutely sharpened, translating to other portions of life. There are also substantial increases in creativity and reductions in stress and anxiety. There are also more studies being performed showing how floating can help with past trauma and PTSD.
